Name: Jillian or blue_cassandra
Age (if you want): 20
Career: Currently undergrad at Goucher in Towson
Hobbies: Reading, writing
Interesting fact about you: I took karate for eight years, I'm engaged to my best friend and I also have endometerosis.
Diagnosis: IBS
Date of Diagnosis: I'd known something was up but when a doctor actually used the phrase IBS was late November of 2006.
IBS-C/IBS-D/IBS-A?: I'm not sure what the different types mean (I'm really new to this.)
Main Symptoms: Painful stomachaches and BM's
Medication (You're on or tried): I'm on a generic brand and the name escapes me at the moment (I'm at work) but when I get home, I can update this.
Any secret tricks that make you feel better?: My fiance gives me amazing belly and foot rubs.

I'm so glad that there are places like this. I usually gross people out when I try to explain this.

Hey, you're not too far from me. I'm in Crofton. I have a friend who went to Goucher.

C, D, and A are constipation, diarrhea, or alternating between the two. :-p

New to the game? :) no problem

I'm Orange, also 20 (awesome!) and I've had IBS-A (alternating) for three years now :)
I wanted to met people with IBS that were my age, so if you want to talk, i'm around :)

A little bit of history:

I have a million trigger foods like: fatty, fried foods, most fruit (like kiwi, pears, peaches, mellons, strawberries...) and some vegetables (mostly raw, some cooked), I'm a vegetarian, so i don't eat meat or chicken/turkey... I also can't eat things with a high content' of sugar (candy...)

I've been through lots of tests, so if you are facing an unknown test and would like some details, i can help.
I've had two abdominal ultrasounds, one pelvic ultrasound, a CT with contrast (IV), a Hida Scan w/contrast (IV), Upper GI barium swallow, endoscopy, and colonoscopy.... plenty of IVs (they dont hurt dont worry) and all that stuff...

I'm currently on NuLev (hyoscamine)

I'm also studying to be a Nutritionist/RD
